Alphonse Nesamony and the event’s Guest of Honor – Bro.T.V George along with the Director Dr. S.S.Mohanty. It was organized for all SFIMAR teaching and non-teaching staff. This included a soulful message, the traditional Christmas cake-cutting ceremony, high-tea and plenty of scrumptious snacks. What followed was a grand ‘Christmas Ball at 6 pm for the first and second year students. The Christmas Ball was organized by our student and faculty coordinators in theAssembly hall. Fr. Nilesh, the Guest of Honor, gave a heart-warming Christmas message which was followed by the cake-cutting ceremony and raising of the toast. That said, there were many more ‘special guests’ for the evening. They were the St. Francis boys’ inmates; whose band played wonderful music to the tunes of traditional Christmas carols. The first year students also sang Christmas carols. A special-starrer ‘Christmas Santa’joined the party to distribute sweets and set the Christmas mood for the rest of the evening. Cake, wine and finger-licking snacks were distributed to all. The rest of the evening was fun and more fun, with song and dance, games and a hearty dinner. Christmas 2015 will be one to remember for years to come, by one and all who made the evening memorable indeed!

Onam was celebrated at SFIMAR on the 8th of September, 2015 which was organized by a group of students from MMS-I1. The participants included not only Malayalee but also a large number of non- Malayalee students.
The event started with the SFIMAR anthem and lighting of the lamp followed by a brief presentation on the Onam celebration. The Guest of honor Bro. Wilson K Joseph, Principal, SFIT, gave a brief speech on the occasion.
The informal part started with the traditional dance namely “Kaikottikali” by a group of 8 girls. This was followed by a short still act wherein the audience were explained the significance of Onam. The specialty of the still act was King Mahabali, portrayed by one of the MMS II students, who graced the audience and captivated them. Both the dance and the still act were enthralling and got huge round of applause from the audience. Followed by the still act, Dr. G Ramesh gave a social message associated with the Onam celebration. There was also a group song sung by our student coordinators, which was mesmerizing. The event was concluded with the vote of thanks by our student coordinator Seles Kuthokathan. All the students, faculty members and staff, Registrar, Director and Chairman were served with the delicious traditional sweet namely “Palada payasam”
The students, faculty members and staff enjoyed the event a lot, which wouldn’t have been possible without the unconditional support of our Chairman Bro Alphonse Nesamony, Director Dr. SS Mohanty, Dr. G. Ramesh and Prof Sinimole Pillai.
