Objectives of Industrial Visits at SFIMAR:
Purpose of Industrial visit:
To enhance the learning graph of management students through industry-academic interaction
The MMS II HRM and Operations Students and the PGDM II HRM students visited the Hindalco Plant, on 12th September 2014. The Purpose of the visit was to observe the various aspects of Industrial Relations & Industrial Laws connected with the factory premises. Students also got the opportunity to interact with the workers, supervisors and the shop floor manager to learn about the day to day functioning at a manufacturing plant.
International Study tour to Bangkok & Pattaya, Thailand was organized by SFIMAR for its students from 3rd Dec 2014 to 9th Dec 2014.
Objective of the tour:
The overall coordination of the tour was under the guidance of Faculty coordinators Dr. G Ramesh & Prof. Shilpa Peswani. The exciting trip to Thailand would not have been possible without the support of our respected Chairman Bro Alphonse Nesamony and Director Dr. S.S Mohanty who also accompanied the group with an objective to sign a MOU with Bangkok universities for Students and Faculty exchange programs and other research programs
A one-day industrial visit to Nashik was organized by SFIMAR, for its MMS and PGDM 1st year students, on 24th September, 2015.

The tour was attended by the faculty members who accompanied the group of around 130 students. Lunch and leisure activities were arranged at Paradise Tent Resorts, Nashik, for all.
A study tour to Jodhpur-Jaisalmer was organized by SFIMAR, for its MMS and PGDM 1st year students, from 26th January, 2016, to 31st January, 2016.
Visit to Metallizing Equipment Co. P. Ltd., Jodhpur
METALLIZING EQUIPMENT CO. PVT. LTD (MEC) was established in 1967 and developed as a leading manufacturer of Thermal Spray Equipment and Auxiliaries. Thermal Spray pro-called metallizing or metal spraying is a surface modification technique – a branch of Surface Engineering. The company caters to various clients like Bajaj, GE, NTPC, JSW, Mahindra, BHEL, Air India, and Crompton Greaves to name a few, in the B2B segment. Students got to learn and understand the end-to-end process of metalizing solutions provided to various companies with respect to engineering solutions.
