Dr. Ritesh Kumar completed his PhD in Management and Labour Studies at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. He completed MMS with specialization in Human Resources from University of Mumbai. He read Modern History at Jawaharlal Nehru University.
He specializes in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior and Leadership. His research and teaching are located at the intersection of Critical Management Studies and Management Education. He believes in the interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge and draws insights from a wide range of disciplines, including management, gender studies, philosophy, sociology, political science, and history. He has mentored many students and guided post graduate research students on various research themes.

His research has been published in national and international journals. He reviews for numerous world-leading high-impact journals in management including Journal of Business Ethics, Organization, and Equality, Diversity, Inclusion. He is a member of Academy of Management, Critical Management Studies Division. Currently, he is working on a collaborative research project along with global leading scholars from University of Bath and Indian Institute of Management-Kashipur.
