Institute Innovation Council(IIC)

ABOUT INSTITUTION INNOVATION COUNCIL(IIC) :

The Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) is an initiative of the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, through the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell (MIC). It aims to systematically promote innovation and entrepreneurship in Higher Educational Institutions by engaging students and faculty in innovation-related activities throughout the academic year.

At SFIMAR, the IIC functions as a catalyst for developing an innovation ecosystem by organizing guest lectures, startup awareness programs, intellectual property rights (IPR) sessions, and industry interactions.

The council actively collaborates with faculty members, industry experts, entrepreneurs, etc. to provide students with opportunities for experiential learning and real-world problem solving.

Objectives

The Institution's Innovation Council strives to:

• Promote innovation and entrepreneurship among students and faculty.

• Encourage idea generation and design thinking practices.

• Facilitate mentorship for innovative projects and startup ideas.

• Create awareness about patents, copyrights, trademarks, and intellectual property.

• Encourage participation in national innovation initiatives and competitions.

• Develop leadership, teamwork, and entrepreneurial competencies.
