Ever since SFIMAR’s establishment in 2002, the institute has attempted to push the boundaries of management science by going beyond merely offering quality education. In this regard, the college has regularly organized various events on different themes under the Management Development Programme (MDP). Over the years, we have organized various such MDP events such as ‘Entrepreneur in You’, ‘Business Analytics’, and ‘Understanding Strategic Marketing through Simulation’. Blockchain technology has emerged as one of the most transformative innovations in financial services worldwide. In India, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), major public and private sector banks, NBFCs, and fintech companies are actively exploring blockchain applications in areas such as cross-border payments, the digital rupee (CBDC), trade finance, KYC/AML, and compliance. This Management Development Program (MDP) is designed to equip professionals in the BFSI sector with a practical understanding of blockchain's relevance, regulatory context, and adoption strategies in the Indian ecosystem.
The MDP aims to:
Build conceptual clarity on blockchain fundamentals in the BFSI context.
Explore blockchain applications with a focus on Indian case studies (RBI Digital Rupee, SBI, ICICI, etc.).
Provide hands-on training through a workshop on ledger creation and smart contracts.
Discuss regulatory, risk, and compliance perspectives relevant to Indian BFSI.
Enable profsessionals to evaluate blockchain adoption strategies for their institution.
Mid-to-senior executives from banks, NBFCs, fintech firms, and insurance companies.
Professionals in treasury, operations, IT, risk management, and compliance roles.
Regulators, auditors, and consultants exploring blockchain adoption.
Faculty in IT and Finance disciplines interested in emerging technologies
